Why Magnesium-OK?
Balancing the demands of today’s hectic lifestyle is not always easy and therefore maintaining a well balanced nutritional regime can be difficult. In addition, many women have specific nutritional requirements during their monthly menstrual cycle.
Women between puberty and the menopause often find that the 2-14 days before the start of the period are accompanied by physical and emotional changes. It has been suggested that fluctuating hormone levels can be partly responsible for this and that a healthy diet and lifestyle can help this aspect of women’s health.
It is worth considering the possibility of obtaining extra nutrients through supplementation. Research has shown that many women who experience problems related to the monthly cycle have low levels of magnesium, a mineral needed for normal nerve and hormone function as well as energy production. There is evidence too that vitamin B6 can help. As well as helping maintain well being, these nutrients work with other selected vitamins and minerals.
Studies confirm that nutrients found in Magnesium-OK give good nutritional support to women in their reproductive years and so help to maintain overall well being
What can you do to help yourself?
Most women recognise that nutritional balance is very important at this time and a healthy diet should form the basis for good nutrition. Unfortunately leading a busy, hectic lifestyle can make eating regular, nutritionally balanced meals difficult. A nutritional supplement, such as Magnesium-OK, could help.
Exercise – Undertaking any form of exercise, e.g. walking or swimming, two or three times a week, can help to keep you healthy and make you feel good.
Relaxation – Learning to relax may help. Whether it’s a long bath, meditation or music, try different methods of relaxation until you find one that suits you.
Diet – Evidence suggests that good nutrition can help you meet the demands of the monthly cycle. Make sure that your diet is well balanced with plenty of fresh foods, especially fruit and vegetables and reasonable amounts of low fat protein and complex carbohydrate foods. Good sources include poultry, oily and white fish, wholemeal bread, brown rice and other wholegrains. Cut down on sugary or salty foods, packaged convenience foods, fried food, fatty meat, foods with a high saturated fat content, caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks. Regularly drink water throughout the day and replace stimulants such as tea and coffee with herbal teas and coffee alternatives (dandelion root or grain based drinks).
Do not skip meals. Even if you are not keen on breakfast, be sure to eat at least some toast, preferably made with wholemeal bread. You could vary this during the week by eating a healthy breakfast cereal, yoghurt with fruit or an occasional boiled egg. These are just a few suggestions for a healthy start to the day but there are many more to be explored.
Who should take Magnesium-OK?
Women who would like to remain in top form throughout the month and those that lead a hectic, active life. Magnesium-OK is a nutritional supplement for women from 16 years to the menopause. Safeguarding levels of magnesium, vitamin B6, zinc and other nutrients may help a woman’s body through the complex changes that happen during the monthly cycle.

| Warning |
This product is usually very well tolerated. As with any food, there is always a possibility that individuals may have a sensitivity to one or more ingredients contained in the product. We always recommend that in the event of any unusual symptoms being noted upon taking our products they should be discontinued and if necessary a doctor consulted to rule out any other cause for the symptoms.
The B-vitamins may have a stimulating effect, which may affect sleep, so it is best to take the product in the morning or at lunch time. Vitamin B2 can cause urine to go bright yellow, which is a completely harmless reaction.
Whilst all ingredients found in Magnesium-OK are deemed safe for food supplements, which are classed as a food, we always recommend that those planning pregnancy, who are pregnant or breast-feeding consult their doctor prior to taking any food supplements. There are a number of multivitamin and mineral products on the market that have been designed specially for this time of life, however, we are not able to offer such a product at present.
Studies carried out in Germany and the US indicate that sufficient magnesium intakes are important during pregnancy.

Wassen International Ltd
|
| More |
Wassen International has researched and introduced many new problem solving nutritional supplements over the last thirty years. The portfolio of products contains a thoughtfully formulated range, containing research proven ingredients, to meet the needs of today.
In theory, a varied well-balanced diet should provide all the daily nutrients necessary for good health but, in reality, this is often not the case. The fast paced world in which we live and work continues to take its toll. Food sourcing and farming methods affect the vital intake of minerals. For example, the amount of selenium, an essential trace mineral, in the UK diet is half what it was 30 years ago. Additionally the effects of pollution and an increasing reliance on convenience foods, can affect the daily intake of vital nutrients. Regular supplementation with vitamins and minerals can help to maintain essential nutrient levels within the body.
Research remains the cornerstone for all Wassen supplements. Nutrition is a comparatively new science and new studies continue to build on the understanding of the way in which nutrients, or lack of them, play a role in our lives. Relying on sound scientific studies to provide the guidance for ingredients, the products contain synergistic combinations of nutrients that help consumers address their health concerns. The company is constantly seeking to develop new innovative supplements.
