This advanced amino acid complex combines essential and non-essential amino acids with Vitamin B6, a vitamin that is vital for protein metabolism. The amino acids used in this product are not derived from animal sources and are in their free-form, for maximum absorption and utilisation.
L-ASPARTIC ACID
Aspartic Acid plays a vital role in metabolism. It is involved in the formation of RNA and DNA and certain immune factors. It is also required by the body to detoxify ammonia.
L-ARGININE
Arginine is not an essential amino acid for most adults, but in some individuals, it may be required in the diet. Like Aspartic Acid, Arginine also plays a vital role in ammonia detoxification. Many important body tissues such as collagen and elastin require Arginine for their manufacture.
L-GLUTAMIC ACID
Glutamic Acid plays an important role in brain metabolism. It is also instrumental in the metabolism of other amino acids, sugars and fats.
L-PHENYLALANINE
L-Phenylalanine is a precursor for several important neurotransmitters and hormones, in this way it helps to produce and maintain a positive mood.
TAURINE
Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body. Taurine helps to regulate heartbeat, maintains cell membrane stability and helps to prevent brain cell over activity. A further role played by Taurine is in maintaining the correct composition of bile, and in ensuring solubility of cholesterol.
L-LEUCINE
Leucine promotes healing of skin and broken bones. It also appears to lower elevated blood sugar levels.
L-LYSINE
Lysine has been found to inhibit the growth of viruses and current research is focused on its ability to control the herpes simplex virus. Lysine is also involved in production of collagen, hormones, enzymes and antibodies. It is found in abundance in muscle tissues and plays a role in tissue repair and growth.
L-VALINE
Valine is vital for mental function, muscle coordination and neural function.
L-THREONINE
Threonine is lipotropic and prevents fatty build up in the liver. It is involved in the manufacture of certain immune factors and it is a constituent of collagen.
L-METHIONINE
Methionine is a sulphur-containing essential amino acid, which has antioxidant properties and is a powerful detoxification agent. It is also lipotropic, preventing fatty build up in the liver. Methionine is important for healthy nails and skin and for the production of phosphatidylcholine, endorphins and other amino acids.
L-ISOLEUCINE
Isoleucine is an essential amino acid that is required for the formation of haemoglobin.
L-HISTIDINE
The neurotransmitter histamine is derived from this essential amino acid. Histidine is important for growth and tissue repair, in the production of blood cells and is known to be vital for the maintenance of myelin sheaths, the insulation which surrounds the nerves.
VITAMIN B6
Vitamin B6 is the master vitamin in the processing of amino acids helping to make and take them apart.
